Automated Stereotaxic Instrument
An automated, software-controlled frame with 1 μm accuracy. Built-in rat and mouse brain atlases show where the probe is in real time, and automated programs handle skull windows, tissue removal and injections. Anti-collision protection stops wrong movements before they reach the animal.
- High-precision stepper motor: minimum displacement 0.33 μm
- Anti-backlash compensation and user frame calibration
- No leveling needed: four skull points set the tilt, and the atlas scales to the actual skull
- Constant speed: 5 speeds on AP/ML, 9 on DV, down to 1 μm/s
- Optional dual manipulators for bilateral targets in the same animal
Automated injection
Drives a nanoliter pump: 0.6–5000 nL at 0.02–200 nL/s, single or up to 10 points, with timed needle retention.
Tilted trajectories
Tilted craniotomy, injection or implantation without calculating three-axis offsets by hand.
Tissue removal kit
Automated aspiration (0–0.095 MPa) before GRIN lens implantation, for flatter surfaces and better miniscope imaging.
Automated craniotomy
Round or square cranial windows drilled under program control.
Slow withdrawal
Needle withdrawal as slow as 1 μm/s keeps virus or drug out of the needle tract.
3D view
Live display of position, layer count and implantation depth during the procedure.

Purchase guide
A complete setup is a stereotaxic frame, an adaptor, ear bars and a holder, plus a nosecone mask if you use gas anesthesia. Not sure? Send us your species and procedure and we'll put the configuration together.
Animal & experiment
Small animal (mouse, rat) or large animal (cat, dog, monkey, pig). Automated for calcium imaging, multi-point injection and craniotomy.
Accuracy
100 μm non-digital, 10 μm digital, or 1 μm automated.
Single or dual
Dual manipulators reach two brain regions of the same animal without re-zeroing.
Adaptor, ear bars, holder
Adaptor and ear bars by animal; holder by what you clamp.
Nosecone mask
Matched to the adaptor. Active masks need a gas evacuation apparatus.
